Achieving a Harmonious State With Reiki Meditation

Reiki masters benefit from using music to help them get into a harmonious state of mind, but music is not always required. However for their clients, music is very important. People have various problems and stressors in life, so it may be too hard for them to enter into that calm state or what we call the meditative state. That's the reason why the use of music during such meditation techniques is essential.

Therapeutic music is recommended to be played in a session as well as in the office. The moment you hear these kinds of music, you are put at ease and your body feels relaxed. You might not even notice that the music you play is already helping you to heal. This is just one bonus among the many meditation techniques.

Several Reiki meditation practitioners do not have their own treatment rooms, so it is best for them to buy a portable music player and then bring it whenever called to implement your meditation techniques. Your clients may bring their preferred music for an even more relaxed experience. What's important is use the suitable music during your healing session.

Lots of us are too stressed out in our lives. This is another reason why we seek meditation to achieve a calm and serene mind for our lives. It might be due to some of the challenges in our lives which we are hard to control, thus the need for meditation techniques. On these occasions, music plays an important role. It will help remove some of the worries and feel relaxed.

Different kinds of music are available everywhere. It's just a matter of finding the right songs and using the suitable type for each session. Look for music that will be in harmony with your own energy so it will not be disruptive and your meditation will run smoothly. Consider suggestions and pieces of advice from your mentors and ask your clients what kind of music they like. Always remember that the right Reiki meditation music will give out the most benefit for your clients.

Last, but not the least, for Reiki meditation practitioners, bear in mind that the right kind of Reiki music increases your abilities as a healer. Consider music that works both ways, for you and for your client too. It soothes your mind and heart, as well as your client. Music also helps both of you be prepared for the entire meditation session.

Meditating With The Right Meditation Music

Meditation is about shifting your brainwaves' state. The emptying of thoughts happens when meditation is done correctly. When we hear of all the benefits of meditation such as healing, eliminating pain, deep learning, accessing the field of consciousness and so on, it is actually effects of being in a different brainwave frequency or state. It's just like expecting to get wet if you walk out in the rain, or expecting a sunburn if it's sunny. Meditation is a means of shifting into different brain waves.

Brain waves are like gears of a car and meditation is like the transmission (the part that holds the gears). Not knowing about brain waves and trying to meditate is like trying to drive a manual car without understanding the gears. You may be able to get it to go by guessing along the way, but it's definitely not going to be your idea of a comfortable ride. The experience is a night and day difference between someone who understands them and someone who doesn't. The same goes for meditation.

There are several brain waves that we operate in but the four most commonly known are BETA, ALPHA, THETA, and DELTA in that particular order. To liken it to a car again, that is first, second, third, and fourth gear. Shifting from one to the next can happen within meditation. This "shifting" is known as BRAIN ENTRAINMENT. There are many meditation techniques that can be used to manually shift through these state, but this particular article is about using meditation music with binaural beats. Meditation music with binaural beats is one of the most effective, one of the fastest ways that you can safely shift brain waves.

Binaural beats is a term that refers to two different beats, one for each ear. The brain makes up the difference. So if you have a frequency of 850hz playing in your left ear, and 870hz playing in your right ear, the brain will make up the 20hz difference. Slowly, the frequencies are brought closer together to achieve the desired brainwave state. All music with binaural beats MUST be listened to with stereo headphones. Speakers will not do the job because the frequencies will not be isolated to each ear. The frequencies are usually in the background of some soothing music. They do not have to be picked up by your conscious level of hearing - your brain will pick up on them.

Another tip is to keep your eyes closed throughout the entire meditation process. Lights and colors have different frequencies which typically make it much more difficult to slow down the brain.

Meditation Music Enhances a Successful Meditation

Browse through any music store's New Age section and you're likely to see a wide selection of meditation music. Depending on the artist, the quality of meditation music varies. Despite the varied quality of the music, though, their purpose is the same: as an aid for people who practice meditation.

It isn't easy to enter into a meditative state, to clear the mind and empty it of all thoughts so that nothing is left but to let the mind and body relax. Meditation music is typically soothing; when it's used as a training aid during yoga sessions, it can promote calmness. It needs to be noted, however, that everyone who decides to practice yoga, particularly the beginners, will have a hard time meditating successfully in the beginning. For most, it will be a struggle, and this is understandable, and exactly why aids like music for meditation exists. It's for those who struggle meditating.

None of us can expect all of our days to be perfect. In the same manner, we all can't -- and shouldn't -- expect to do something, including self meditation, perfectly all the time. This is the reason training aids and other tools are available. They are designed to help us and improve our skills and performance. In the case of meditation, we have meditation downloads available. So if you're a novice at meditating, it's a good idea to invest in a few meditation music CDs.

How does meditation music boost your mood? First, think of how music in general affects your mood. You may dance and smile when an upbeat song is played on the radio. You may feel nostalgic when a song such as the national anthem is played at an event. In contrast, you may feel sad when music is played during a memorial ceremony. These situations demonstrate the power of music.

Meditation music is no different. It has the potential to put your body and soul into a calming meditative state. Meditation music comes in a wide variety of genres. You can listen to the fluid smooth sounds of nature, musical instruments, or even a chorus of church singers. These gentle notes can help you break out of the mind cluttering stresses of your hectic life and seep into a relaxed meditative state.

Meditation music can also help you purge yourself of negativity and depression. You can utilize meditation music, mantras, and imagery to focus on the positive side of life. This visualization and deep breathing to the music can be extremely powerful and can benefit your brain chemistry.

How does meditation music affect your cognitive abilities? People that are stressed out often forget things such as where they placed the keys. When you are stressed out you may also overreact in situations and not think through a situation logically. Your mind is stretched in a million directions thus making it difficult to learn and retain information. This confused mindset hinders your ability to make effective decisions and simply enjoy your life. Meditation music enables you to calm these stressors and rid your mind of these distractions.

Meditation music affects your brain waves. Brain waves are electrical potentials or impulses given off by brain tissue. These impulses have different frequencies. Basically, you have faster brain wave frequencies when you are awake and alert. Meditation music helps to slow your brain wave frequencies thus putting you into a meditative state.

How does meditation music relax your body? First, let's look at the music used in movies. Movie makers know the commanding influence of music. The screeching, scary music plays a big part when you watch a horror movie because it increases your heart rate and stress level. In contrast, a romantic commanding plays upbeat music which can relax your body through upbeat melodies and comedic lines.

Meditation music is rhythmic music that is slow and soothing. This simple music sends signals to your body to relax. Your muscles relax. Your breathing slows and becomes deeper. The Impact of Meditation Music

If you happen to be experiencing the effects of a stressful lifestyle, meditation music just may be what you need! This type of music is extremely helpful when trying to relax and alleviate stress. Meditation music is just one part of the process, there is much more to self meditation!

You will always want to use the same area in your home for the process. Make sure that the area has been cleaned well, and does not have any clutter or trash close by. These things can be extremely distracting and can take away from the experience. Always try to use the same space. It won't take long and you will instantly begin to feel relaxed when you enter the area.

Be sure to put on nice comfortable clothing before you begin the process. You will want to be able to stretch yourself out completely without any restrictions when you meditate.

One of the most important things about meditation is the use of meditation music! You can decide if you would like to purchase the music, rent it for free from your local library, or you can even download it for free from your home computer. If you have the internet on your desktop or laptop computer, you will find that there are many websites that offer free meditation music that you can use.

Be sure to take nice slow deep breaths while you listen to the music. Hold the air inside of your lungs for a few seconds before you release it evenly. Did you know that there are a lot of wonderful breathing meditation techniques that you can use?

Look around and find one spot in the room where you can completely concentrate your focus. You may even want to try repeating a mantra to yourself. "Om" is very commonly used and can help you to stay focused and block out any type of interruptions.

You must also learn to visualize while you are listening to the music. Imagine yourself in another environment. Pick either a real or imaginary place that allows you to feel comfortable and relaxed. Use all five of your senses during your imagination.

Once you have gotten the hang of using your meditation music to relax, you will want to do the process as often as possible. This helps your body to re-energize and recharge. If possible, practice your meditation every single day. This may not always be possible, but do try to meditate at least several times a week. This will really improve your ability to deal with every day stress from work and life in general!

Benefits of Meditation Music

During certain aspects of your meditation routine, you will need to play meditation music that helps alter your brainwaves and allows you to slip into a deep relaxing state.

The types of meditation music preferred varies among students and teachers of self meditation. The only underlying theme is that the meditation music has certain beats per minute to help change your perception.
